Linking virtual assistant to Polestar 1 app
In order to use voice control for some Polestar 1 app functions using Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa, you need to first link the virtual assistant to the Polestar 1 app.
Linking Google Assistant to the Polestar 1 app
The first time you use Google Assistant with the Polestar 1 app by saying "OK Google, I want to talk to Polestar Connect", the assistant will ask you whether you want to link your Polestar Connect account to Google. Answer Yes.
Enter your Polestar ID (e-mail address) and password in the notification shown in your phone or tablet. Click on Log in.
Tap on Allow access in the page shown if you want to allow Google access to your Polestar Connect account. This is required to be able to use the service.
Your Polestar 1 app should now be linked to Google and you can start using the service.
Linking Amazon Alexa to the Polestar 1 app
Activate Polestar Connect "skill" in your Alexa app.
Say: "Alexa, open Polestar Connect".
The app will announce that the Polestar Connect account is not linked.
Follow the instructions in the app.
Your Polestar 1 app should now be linked to Alexa and you can start using the service.
