Using voice control in the Polestar 1 app

With a virtual assistant such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa or Siri, you can control some of the functions in the Polestar 1 app by only using your voice. For example, you can check that the doors are locked.

Voice control with Google Assistant

To use a voice-controlled Polestar 1 app function with Google Assistant, initialise the service by saying: "Ok Google, I want to talk to the Polestar Connect", and you will then be asked which voice-controlled function you want to use. To shorten the interaction, you can also ask your question directly when calling the Polestar 1 app, e.g. by saying "Ok Google, ask Polestar Connect how much petrol do I have left".

The Google Assistance service is available in Swedish or English.

Voice control with Amazon Alexa

To use a voice-controlled Polestar 1 app function with Amazon Alexa, initialise the service by saying: "Alexa, open Polestar Connect", and you will then be asked which voice-controlled function you want to use. To shorten the interaction, you can also ask your question directly when calling the Polestar 1 app, by saying, e.g. "Alexa, ask Polestar Connect to turn on the heater" or "Alexa, ask Polestar Connect if I locked the doors in my car".

For Amazon Alexa, the service is only available in English.

Voice control with Siri

To use a voice-controlled Polestar 1 app function with Siri, start Siri and ask Siri to execute the function you require. For a list of possible phrases, start Siri on your iOS device, press the question mark at the bottom and select Polestar 1 from the list of apps that is displayed.

For Siri, the service is available in all languages and markets for which Siri is available.
