Voice control allows you to control functions in the car, e.g. reading out text messages from a connected mobile phone.
Reading out text messages
You need to connect a mobile phone to the car before you can use voice commands for a mobile phone's functions (text messages, phone calls and media player).
To read out a text message, press the voice control button on the right-hand side of the steering wheel and say "Read message".
Reading out text messages from an iPhone
To read out text messages from an iPhone, you need to change a setting on your phone so that messages can be sent from the phone to the car1.
Go to Settings.
Select Bluetooth.
Click on the info symbol (i) for the connection to your car.
Switch on Show notes.
