Using the electrical outlets

The 12 V outlet can be used for devices intended for this, such as coolers.

The vehicle must be in Comfort or Drive mode for the outlet to supply current.

The outlet will switch off automatically when the driver exits the vehicle. If the vehicle remains unlocked, the outlet will remain active for about 10 minutes.

 Note

Extras connected to the electrical outlet can be activated even when the vehicle electrical system is off or if preconditioning is used. For this reason, unplug extras when they are not being used.

 Warning

  • Do not use extras with large or heavy plugs – they could damage the outlet or come loose while you are driving.
  • Do not use extras that could cause disruptions to e.g. the vehicle's radio receiver or electrical system.
  • Position the extra so that there is no risk of it injuring the driver or passengers in the event of heavy braking or a collision.
  • Pay attention to connected extras as they can generate heat that could burn passengers or the interior.
