Goodwood Festival of Speed 2021

We are back at our favourite festival, the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Held every July at Goodwood House, the festival was one of the first major events to take place in the UK, so we needed to mark the occasion in style. With 150,000 visitors we created the unique opportunity to get closer than ever before to three cars that embody our vision of design and electric mobility, our past, present, and future. Both at the First Glance Paddock and the legendary Goodwood Hillclimb.

Two vehicles had their UK debut. The Precept and the Polestar 1 in "Sun". The precept shows our direction from a Design, technology, and sustainability standpoint, and while the weather didn't entirely match the colour of our special Polestar 1, the excitement around the car was in no way dampened!

We also surprised everyone with the Experimental Polestar 2, which pushes the limits of Polestar 2 that little bit further.

Over 230 people took a Polestar 2 test drive at the event, and we invited over 400 of our customers to the show over the 4 days to engage and talk to them about their experience with owning a Polestar.

During the Hillclimb, passengers could experience the power and precision of both Polestar 1 and 2.

“Polestar 2 is already a wonderfully dynamic car and we have spent thousands of hours fine-tuning its driving characteristics. The new [Experimental Polestar 2] chassis set-up for Goodwood has really taken it to the next level” commented Polestar’s lead chassis engineer, Joakim Rydholm, who piloted the Experimental Polestar 2.

It was great to be back at our favourite motorsport festival!

Polestar returns as Supporting Partner of the 2024 Melbourne Queer Film Festival

Gracing the cinemas of Melbourne for its 34th year running, the Melbourne Queer Film Festival has become a staple of the city’s arts and culture calendar. Lauded as one of Australia’s premier cinema showcases, the 2024 festival kicks off with a program of shorts, features and documentaries centered around this year’s theme: Formative Sound and Vision. Returning as a proud Supporting Partner in 2024, Polestar celebrates the festival for being a pioneer in the arts industry pushing boundaries and opening minds, as we strive to do the same in the automotive industry.

What will it take to drive our sustainable, electrified future forward?

In its simplest form, Polestar is a company that makes electric cars. But what we’re really in the business of creating is positive change. We know that electric cars are not sustainable today, but they offer a true pathway to climate neutrality tomorrow. We challenge the status quo, challenge ourselves, and challenge others to help accelerate the decarbonisation of the automotive industry. While we're proud of what we’ve been able to achieve to date, the road ahead is long, and we know we can’t do it alone. Rather, it will take collective action, with innovative thinkers and action takers across all industries working together to create the solutions that will lead to a more sustainable, electrified future. So, in the spirit of cross-industry collaboration, Polestar has partnered with Guardian Labs to co-produce the Future Labs: Moonshot 2030 campaign. This four-part podcast series unearths the inspiring stories of individuals effecting positive change on a global scale. Uncovering the why and how of their ‘moon shot’ goal, the series amplifies the voices of the dreamers and visionaries turning ideas into reality to help bring us closer to our 2030 climate targets.
